The MajorMod™ disruptor, a medium-sized explosively driven water disruptor, is a highly reliable, powerful tool for combating medium-sized IEDs. Its patented technology ensures safety, producing a shaped charge with sheet explosive or detonating cord as the propellant and water as the projectile. It shares the same form and geometry as an MLVD™ module but is half the length, showcasing its versatility as the ideal disruptor for either mounting on a mini ROV or carrying by an operator. The loaded charge weighs 4kg (9 lb) and has a maximum NEQ of 230g.Â
Highly modular charges based on patented technology
Low NEQ delivers a powerful effect
Capable of defeating Heavy IED casings and large internal volumes
No logistical export considerations

Explosive Load and Performance
Using patented technology, MajorMod™ constitutes two containers: a tamper and a projectile, which fit together, sandwiching the explosive load, which can be sheet explosive or detonating cord.
MajorMod™ produces a blade-like jet of water which is capable of penetrating a heavy case and disrupting an IED contained within a large volume behind it. If the precise location of an IED within a large volume is not known, multiple MajorMods can be joined together and fired simultaneously to cover a larger threat area.
Deployment to Target
MajorMod™ is capable of penetrating a vehicle door and disrupting an IED located at a distance within the vehicle. When used in a multiple array, MajorMod™ can be used in the same way as a BootBanger™ to extract and separate IED components from the trunk / boot of a vehicle.
