The Mini Breacher’s Boot™ is a small water-tamped charge explicitly designed to fit on the side panels of uPVC and wooden doors.  It is smaller and lighter than the Breacher’s Boot™ . It is highly versatile, allowing the operator to use it against a wide range of targets by simply adjusting the explosive load and number of charges used. A breaching tool designed for optimal performance and ergonomics, consistency, simplicity, low NEQ, ease of use, size and weight - the Mini Breacher’s Boot takes the improvisation out of door breaching, giving operators the ideal tool.

Precision loading allows for accurate NEQ load measurement

Small, lightweight and easy to use either individually or in multiple charge configurations

Fielded widely in the UK, USA and Europe

Explosive Load and Performance

Mini Breacher’s Boot™ has significant water tamping behind the charge and a Water Cushion™ between the charge and the target. This cushions the direct effect of the explosive and spreads the force across the surface area to impart the maximum amount of energy without actually cutting the target. The two parts of the charge have been designed to place water exactly where needed while keeping the charge small and easy to handle. A unique profile on the ends allows dual initiators to connect to the charge quickly without needing tape or clips. Multiple charges may be fixed together on a batten and initiated at a single point.
You can load Mini Breacher’s Boot™ with cut lengths of detonating cord or plastic explosive, allowing for accurate measurement and adjustment of the explosive load. The water tamping significantly reduces blast overpressure, decreasing the required stand-off and risk to the breacher.
Three or four centrally aligned Mini Breacher’s Boots will fold a thin steel or aluminium door and remove it from its hinges. Operators can deploy the charge to open a car boot with a very light explosive load (4.5g/70 grains) without shaking the car.

Deployment to Target

A three-charge array can be assembled in under 15 minutes. If the charges must be prepared before the operation, a dual water seal ensures they do not leak.
The front of the Mini Breacher’s Boot™ is completely flat, providing the maximum surface area for attachment to a target. You can attach the charge using Breacher’s Tape™ or Hydro Tape™, depending upon the texture and condition of the target surface. The contoured rear of the charge allows for easy, secure handling, even when wearing gloves or in wet conditions.
