The Plain Detonator Adaptor™ (PDA) is a small plastic moulding fitted and crimped into the end of a standard plain detonator. The PDA has a plastic U-shaped cradle that accepts the detonating cord, which you can push into place anywhere on a line of detcord. You can adjust the position of the charge, but once you engage it, you cannot remove it from the ring main. When the detcord initiates, it punches out a small disc of plastic that shoots down the PDA tube directly into the detonator's primary composition, reliably initiating it on impact. Combine with the Split Screw to provide to secure the detonator into the charge without the risk of the detonator becoming loose or falling out.
