Breaching, Explosive Method of Entry (MoE, EMOE) and forced entry are terms for techniques used for gaining rapid entry in order liberate hostages or other prisoners or to launch a sudden attack against people separated from the operators by a barrier. In hostage situations, less-than-lethal methods are adopted to reduce injuries. The attempted entry may be through a doorway or window or through an internal or external wall. The method of attack may involve the removal of the door or window from its fixings (the hinges and locks) or the removal or its frame from the wall or, alternatively, cutting a door into free-moving pieces or cutting an aperture in it. Alford Technologies provide a range of renowned explosive tools to support breaching and EMoE operations.
