Alford Technologies own an explosive range in Somerset, United Kingdom called Broadmead Range. Broadmead Range can be used for training purposes,hired for filming by media and television companies, or used as a location for Research & Development or product testing. The range is easily accessible from the M4 and M5 motorways and is located approximately 30 minutes from Bristol Airport.
Broadmead Range can accommodate shots of up to 8kg or a multiple of smaller shots depending upon requirement. The site boasts a variety of working areas including “breaching jigs” into which a variety of walls can be built and doors fitted for Explosive Method of Entry (EMoE) training, two classrooms, a laboratory, an office, a canteen and shower facilities. It has separate charge preparation areas and secure ammunition storage.

Multiple firing points and safety bunkers around the site allow greater flexibility for working. The site is in a secluded location, offering an area of security and privacy for sensitive work to be undertaken. The range has two MOD qualified range safety officers and has range standing orders based on MOD PAM 4.
